The Purdue Veterinary Medicine family is rallying to do their part in Purdue University’s 2021 United Way campaign. College of Veterinary Medicine Campaign Chair Angela Pickett, Executive Assistant to the Dean, already says nearly $ 11,500 has been raised to support the United Way’s annual effort to help local agencies.

“Please help our community if you can,” said Angela, encouraging faculty and staff to participate. “Even if you decline to commit, please submit your response. Every response, whether it’s a gift or not, counts towards our overall response rate, which so far is 12%, ”explained Angela. “We want the response rate to be as high as possible. We just encourage everyone to fill out the donation form, whether you choose to donate or not. “

Filling out your pledge form is easy! Simply go to the Purdue United Way Campaign website, select “Donate Now” or “Don’t Want to Donate” and use your Purdue Career Account to log in and complete the process.

This year, the Purdue United Way campaign is also featuring a silent auction which began on Monday, October 4. Click here to see the items up for auction!

The chairman of this year’s Purdue campaign is Steve Abel, vice president for engagement, and Linda Mason, dean of the Graduate School, is the vice president. “United Way organizations help individuals and families in our community meet the challenges they face every day,” said Dr. Abel. “Together we can help make life a little easier for people in our community. As Boilermakers we know how important it is to come together as a community to help those around us.
