The Annual Animal Harbor Bone Drop will take place on August 7 at noon at the shelter, 56 Nor-Nan Road, Winchester.

To grab this exciting chance to win a lot of money, just buy a bone at $ 100 each for a chance to win: first prize, $ 3,000; second, $ 1,500; or third, $ 500.

The bones will be dropped from a forklift onto a large target below, with the three bones landing closest to the center of the target, earning the loot.

The cash prize will be awarded based on the sale of 150 bones.

To get involved, deposit payment (cash or check only) and a registration form for the number of bones you wish to purchase at the port.

Payment can also be sent with a registration form to Animal Harbor, PO Box 187, Winchester, TN 37398. Registration forms can be found at www.animalharbor.org.

Proceeds from bone loss will be used to care for homeless and adoptable pets at Animal Harbor, a limited admission animal shelter serving Franklin County.

Animal Harbor is operated by members of the Franklin County Humane Society, a private 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.

Animal Harbor’s mission is to:

• Provide health care and temporary shelter for lost and homeless pets;

• Find new loving homes for these pets;

• Reduce the overpopulation of pets by promoting sterilization and sterilization;

• Promote animal welfare through education;

• Maintain a no-kill policy except for reasons of mercy or dangerous temper.

The refuge is open Tuesday to Friday from noon to 5 p.m. The refuge is closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
