Stuttgart Police Department Incident Reports: August 9, 2022

Reports of interest:

Block 400 of W. Second St., an accident resulting in property damage. Police discovered a 2006 Pontiac car that had hit three embankments and came to rest in the driveway of a residence. The driver said she hit a pothole, which knocked her vehicle off the road. The driver was cited for driving with a suspended license and without proof of insurance.

Block 900 of S. College St., second degree criminal mischief. Evidence of tampering with a door and window of a residence has been reported.

Intersection of W. Michigan St. and N. Maple St., dangerous driving. Officers saw a speeding van go through a red light and nearly hit another vehicle. The driver was arrested after a traffic check.

Block 900 of E. Cleveland St., outstanding warrant, possession of Schedule IV or V controlled substances. An officer conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver had a warrant out of Stuttgart. The officer then searched the vehicle and found Xanax pills on the driver’s person. The driver was charged with drug possession and an outstanding warrant.

Block 500 of W. First St.first-degree terrorist threat.

1800 block of S. Oak St., theft of property worth $1,000 or less. An iPhone and an undisclosed sum of cash were reportedly removed from a vehicle by a known suspect.

Block 1100 of N. Buerkle St.warrant not executed, second degree terrorist threat.

Block 1000 of N. Lowe St., accidental property damage. A resident reported a scratch on the bumper of his car from mowing nearby.

Stuttgart police also responded to two domestic battery reports.
