Chelsea have reportedly told Inter Milan they can keep Romelu Lukaku on loan for a second season.
The Belgian striker returned to San Siro this summer, just a year after moving to Stamford Bridge for £97.5million.

Inter have paid around £7million to secure Lukaku’s services for 2022/23.
And according to the Telegrapha proposal has been put forward to potentially replicate the deal in 2023/24.
It could become a reality if Inter are happy with the Belgian’s performance in the next campaign.
The Blues would secure a second loan should that be the case.
It has been reported that both clubs hope Inter will be able to afford a permanent contract for Lukaku by 2024.
At this point, he only had two years left on his contract with the Blues.

Either way, Chelsea look set to suffer a significant loss in the signing they made last summer.
It now appears to be a damage limitation case for the London side as they save Lukaku’s £325,000 weekly salary and offset the £7m loan fee for 2022/23.
If they can do the same in 2023/24 and then offload the Belgian at the end of this season, Chelsea could manage to cut their losses effectively.
