Update: Best Buy is now sold out on Xbox consoles. Be sure to follow our Xbox Series X restocking guide for news on the next shipment. Also check out our Xbox Series X Black Friday deals guide for our holiday predictions.
Best Buy Xbox Series X restocking is here. The retailer currently has the Xbox Series X in stock for $ 499.99 through this link. Today’s restock appears to be an in-store pickup offer only. (You’ll buy it online, but need to pick it up in store).
This is the first Xbox Series X restocking that we saw at Best Buy in October. So far, Xbox Series X console drops have been hard to come by this month.

How to buy an Xbox Series X from Best Buy
As with most retailers, setting up a Best Buy account in advance should be your first priority. You want to make sure that your payment information and your address information are pre-registered, in order to save valuable time during your checkout; it could be the difference between securing an Xbox Series X and being left empty-handed.
It’s also important to note that Best Buy does not currently ship Xbox consoles – although the ordering process takes place online, you must opt ââfor in-store pickup. So if you don’t have a local Best Buy or don’t have the option of going to your local store, then Best Buy might not be the Xbox retailer for you.
When a replenishment occurs, refresh the product page until you see the yellow “add to cart” button or a gray “please wait” button. If you see the latter, do not refresh, but rather wait for the button to turn yellow “add to cart”.
Once you can add to cart, you may see a message telling you that the Xbox Series X is no longer in stock. If this happens, you need to change your location to the one that has the system in stock. You can also open a new page and repeat the process described above until the âAdd to Cartâ button appears again, then go back to the original page you had open and try again to choose a location.
Best Buy, like several other retailers, is releasing its Xbox Series X inventory in waves, so stick around even if the site initially reads sold out during a restock window, as another opportunity to get an Xbox may appear. Investing time in the process might pay off, as other people might give up and lose patience.
The retailer will also ask you to enter a code provided during the purchase process, and you have the option to send it by text or email. Always go for text, as it will appear almost instantly. Mail codes can take a long time to appear or get lost in a spam filter, and by the time you collect them, the console will likely be out of stock again.
